Abstract

Logic, understood as a discipline that structures and validates thought, constitutes an essential axis in the configuration of scientific knowledge. Its normative character allows the establishment of criteria of correctness in reasoning processes, ensuring both coherence and the validity of conclusions. In this sense, logic is not limited to being a mere tool of formal analysis, but acquires an epistemological dimension, as it underpins the very conditions of possibility for rigorous and systematic knowledge. Scientific thought, characterized by its pursuit of objectivity and systematization, rests upon logical principles that guide both the formulation of hypotheses and the interpretation of results. Thus, logic acts as a mediator between theoretical abstraction and the practical application of knowledge, offering a framework that prevents falling into fallacies or invalid reasoning. Furthermore, its contribution extends beyond the exact sciences to fields such as the social sciences and humanities, where it supports the construction of solid analytical discourses. Integrating logic into scientific practice also requires acknowledging its limits and its interaction with other forms of rationality, such as intuition and creativity. This balance is fundamental to understanding that science is not reduced to a mere exercise in formal deduction but incorporates multiple dimensions of human thought. Therefore, the epistemological foundations of logic stand as an indispensable pillar to guarantee the strength, coherence, and legitimacy of knowledge within the scientific tradition.
