The training of environmental leaders: a bibliometric study

Abstract

The training of environmental leaders through traditional knowledge seeks to provide knowledge, skills, values, actions, and resources to strengthen the learning process of communities in addressing socio-environmental problem. This research aims to analyze the results of environmental leadership training. To this end, a bibliometric study was conducted using a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods with critical theory, supported by the PRISMA methodology, to complement the selection of the most significant articles related to the topic. The results revealed that topics such as conservation and environmental management,education, socio-economic development, and, most importantly, leadership training in different areas of knowledge have been addressed. The study has provided a comprehensive view of environmental leadership training, highlighting the temporal evolution of the field, the main areas of focus, the relevance of published research, and the critical importance of collaboration and community participation in addressing global environmental challenges.
