Educational actions to prevent the misuse of protection measures in Tulcán

Abstract

Violence is a social problem that is on the rise in Ecuador. One of the protection measures against this problem is the aid ticket. In the city of Tulcán there is an increase in domestic violence and at the same time, not everyone knows the use of the help ticket. Sometimes this ticket is misused. Keywords: protection order, violence, victim, aggressor. The objective of the research was to propose educational actions to prevent the misuse of the distress ticket by victims of violence in the city of Tulcán. A quantitative methodology with a non-experimental field design was used, focused on descriptive approaches and bibliographic media. The survey was used as a technique to collect data. We worked with a population of 50 people. It was determined that there is a lack of knowledge about the use of the emergency tickets, lack of information about the procedure, which leads to their misuse. The proposed actions seek to prevent violence in homes, make correct use of the aid ticket, preparing the population, and university students, so that they are able to act in the face of this social phenomenon. By teaching students about their rights, the problem of family violence and the tools to prevent it, universities contribute to building a fairer and safer society for all.
