Nowadays, children and young people, regardless of the grade they are in, suffer from academic stress, an illness that has been increasing over time, negatively influencing their health and their studies. For this reason, we sought to establish the relationship between academic stress and learning in students of a public university in Arequipa. According to the methodology used, it was a basic study, with a quantitative approach; the design was non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational. The sample consisted of 100 students, who were administered a questionnaire based on the SISCO Inventory and the questionnaire proposed by Pibaque (2021) for academic stress and learning, respectively. It was found that there is a direct, positive and moderate correlation between academic stress and learning (Spearman's Rho = 0.611 and p = 0.000 < 0.05). The most important conclusion being that, in the face of a positive change in the students with respect to academic stress, their level of learning would have a regular improvement.
