Regarding issues related to the responsibility of young people to society, it has become the focus of political and pedagogical debates. However, beyond the theoretical and pedagogical discourses on how to train young people to assume leadership, initiatives are emerging that should be recorded and studied as an important reference for new proposals. The doctoral research project "Training Young Leaders," being developed at the Carlos Rafael Rodríguez University of Cienfuegos, took on the task of systematizing Ibero-American theoretical perspectives and experiences and, from there, forming a framework for considering new proposals. The problem was: What are the Ibero-American theoretical perspectives and experiences in the training of young leaders? The objective was to determine the theoretical and practical references for training young leaders that can serve as the basis for new proposals. The methodology was based on the location, selection, and content analysis of published sources identified in Google Scholar databases. The study confirms that initiatives and practical experiences in Latin America provide important theoretical and methodological references for developing new proposals for training young leaders.
