This work focuses on the relationship between sensitivity and environmental education training with rural primary school children. The aim is to identify the environmental imaginaries present in the daily environment of second and third grade children at the Antillana Educational Center, Santa Fe Campus. For its development, a qualitative methodology using hermeneutics was adopted due to the intention of interpreting the thinking and feelings of children, from their voices and drawings, in the interpretive context, allowing to understand and transform social realities, supported by participant observation and children's aesthetic expressions, valuing the experiences, representations and links that children establish with nature. Among the results, children construct environmental imaginaries linked to beauty, care and protection of nature, although expressions of disconnection and apathy were also identified, evidencing the great influence of the family on environmental behavior. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen training processes in the community where everyone feels identified
