Abstract

The present study aims to disseminate the educational work of Dr. Manuel Eduardo Cortés Cortés, who has dedicated his life to teaching mathmatics in Higher Education, thus contributing to the development of ethical and social values and the construction of a national identity. The research uses periodization as a methodological tool, which allowed us to identitythe period of analysis, the corresponding steges, and within them, the contributions he made to mathematics education in Hogher Education from 1947 to 2023. As a result, it was evident that the educational work of Dr. Manuel Eduardo Cortes Cortes is creative, transformative, intentionally national and international, appropriate for the different ages of his audiences, and permeated by education committed to the education of new generations.
