Abstract

Scientific research from an academic perspective is an important factor in the development of university students. A scientific article that demonstrates its rigorous and detailed presentation is of great importance in the academic and research fields, as it allows experts to disseminate their findings and contributions to knowledge. Thanks to a clear and methodological structure, these texts facilitate the understanding of advances in different scientific disciplines. In essence, scientific articles are fundamental to the advancement of knowledge, as they serve as a basis for other researchers to expand or refute theories, thus fostering a collaborative cycle of scientific growth. University-level training in rigor, ethics, and scientific writing equips students with the skills to clearly communicate the results obtained in their research. The publication of a scientific result depends largely on the level of clarity achieved, the ability to capture reader interest, and the follow-up to the reported result. However, the scarcity of quality articles hinders various areas, especially in medical fields such as dentistry. Therefore, this work aims to establish guidelines for accurate scientific writing, based on qualitative methodology and reliable academic sources. The review highlights the need to continue teaching scientific article writing as one of the ways to communicate research results and work in university education.
