Abstract

 

Postgraduate education has as its essential objectives the academic training and continuous improvement of university graduates, throughout their professional life. The study responds to the need to train doctors in science due to the insufficient number of doctors at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana. The objective of the work is to assess the results of the Doctoral Training Strategy at the Enrique Cabrera Faculty of Medical Sciences in the period January 2022-April 2024 from the principles that underpin continuing education in Medical Education. With a mixed approach from a dialectical position of research. It is concluded that the Enrique Cabrera Faculty of Medical Sciences develops the Doctoral Training Strategy linked to teaching and care work, where 57 PhD students and 12 Applicants are inserted, as well as seven residents; 12 professionals defending the scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences and one the degree of Doctor of Sciences.
