Impact of postgraduate university research on the socialization of knowledge at UNIANDES, Ecuador

Abstract

Universities are research centers where new knowledge is generated and innovations are developed in various disciplines. Particularly through their graduate programs, they play a crucial role in the socialization of knowledge, since they not only train highly qualified professionals, but also generate research that enriches the global knowledge stock. The present research aims to analyze how university graduate research impacts the socialization of knowledge at the Universidad Regional Autónoma de los Andes, UNIANDES, Ecuador, as an expression of a higher moment in the socialization of knowledge generated at the university. Regarding the type of research, it is predominantly a study of Educational Sciences, particularly Educational Management. It is confirmed through the analysis of the institutional experience of university relations and the socialization of knowledge at UNIANDES that the research-graduate synergy is classified as a valuable resource in the relationship between the university and the socialization of knowledge. The progress in the synergistic relationship of the socialization of research and the postgraduate at UNIANDES is evident for the period and the fourth level training programs examined.
